He was returned to us because he was just too much of a handful for his previous owner who was not an alpha personality and let him run the household. He is full of love but needs manners. He has been neutered, microchipped and is current on all vaccinations. He is housebroken and gets along with other dogs his size. He is a large dog at 26 inches at the shoulder and about 85 lean pounds. He could easily gain ten pounds as he matures. He is three years old and not done through growing. He travels well in the car and does not get carsick or drool. He has not been around small dogs, and his previous owner notes a few excitable experiences with small toy breed dogs when she was out on her walks with him. He was raised with a cat, but the previous owner notes that it was trying at times as he liked to chase the cat. Both of these situations could simply have been lack of training as I have noticed no aggression whatsoever in him and he has been back with us over a month. He gets along well with my shepherds here at SureFire and is also good with my puppies (ages 12 weeks). He needs an obedience class and needs to learn manners as everything is just fun and games for him. He needs an alpha personality human to share his life with, so he knows what is expected of him. He will make a good watch dog and loves kids. He is truly a diamond in the ruff just waiting for the right home with someone who will spend time with him and show him how to be a good boy. He is super smart and will test his new owner to see just what he can get away with, so you to be on your toes with him. These characteristics, if channeled in the right direction, could make him a fabulous Agility or Obedience prospect. ZUKES' father is Strider, a gorgeous Champion male and producer of European Champions. His mother is Sophie, who now lives in China, and who is a daughter of our most loved stud dog, Grand Champion Super Sonic, who has many offspring all over the U.S. and even in Australia. So, Zukes truly shares a famous, and notable heritage of some truly fine dogs. He is AKC registerable but his previous owner did not complete the paperwork, so you even have the opportunity to register him and name him whatever you desire.
